Jim Kay has been working as a professional illustrator since 2007. Before that he worked in the Library and Archives of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and the Library and Archives of Tate Britain, London. He has illustrated a number of books, including the award winning A Monster Calls, and the illustrated Harry Potter series, and has also provided concept art for film and television such as the tv series Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, the film adaptation of A Monster Calls, and visuals for a short film Little Shrew – written, performed and directed by Kate BushJim’s work has been exhibited in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Library.
Louise Clark has always had an interest in history having studied archaeology, and worked in the Library and Archives of The Royal Institute of British Architects, Tate Britain, and English Heritage (Historic England). Louise is also a qualified book-binder and paper conservator, but more recently has worked alongside Jim in the creative areas of publishing and millinery.
Louise and Jim are passionate about art, history, and wildlife. They now divide their time between London and Winchelsea, East Sussex, with their much loved whippet Dottie.
